How are we already 2/3rds through the challenge?! Time just flies by doesn’t it. Speaking of time flying by, today I’m writing about where I want to be in 10 years (see that smooth segue there 😁).In 10 years time, I’ll be 44. My eldest will be almost 19 and my youngest will be 14. Where my children are in their education will play a big part of where I am. My son will have finished secondary school, finished further education and will have moved on to the next stage. Whether that’s university or getting a job, he’ll be an adult. 😥 My daughter will still be at secondary school, so I’ll still be working part-time hours at the most.
Although, I’m hoping that I will have my own work-from-home business up and running by then, so even though I’ll have to take time out for school runs, I’ll still be able to work in the afternoon.
Part of me thinks that things will not be all too different from the way they are now, but then I think back to how my life was 10 years ago compared to now and it’s completely different. Ideally, both my husband and I will be successful in our respective careers and will be able to get on the property ladder. Owning our own home is something that’s come later for us than a lot of our friends, but when I compare it to the age my parents bought their house it’s not that bad.
A lot of the more successful people in the world practice something called Visualisation. This is a technique where you spend time each day seeing in our mind’s eye what you want to achieve and it will help you to get there. It’s actually part of the Miracle Morning by Hal Elrond. Hopefully, with regular goal setting and assessment, I’ll get to where I want to be, and all being well, you’ll be able to see my progress as I’ll either be keeping up the blog or be a household name by then. Here’s to the future. 🥂
