about me, blog challenge

31-Day Blog Challenge | day 11

This post is a bit more rushed than usual, because as I write this it’s Good Friday and, as I work in retail, I have to work today. I had meant to write this last night and schedule it to publish, but I downloaded Stardew Valley yesterday, and lost half the day! Today’s post is my proudest moment.

I think any parent will agree with me here, trying to pin down one proudest moment is hard, but they all have one thing in common. They all involve your kids. If we’re talking proud-of-myself moments, it’s probably giving birth to my babies.

If we’re talking moments that we’ve felt proud, they are numerous. Everything from watching my kids take their first steps, to performing well at school, to showing kindness and compassion towards others.

Again, like most parents, I know there are times when we worry that we are not the World’s Best Parents. But, we try our best to do right by our children. The struggles and ups-and-downs of everyday parenting are all made worth it when your little monster does something that tugs at your heartstrings and overwhelms you with pride.

Yesterday was my daughters Easter Bonnet Parade at her nursery school. Watching her walk confidently down the aisle and sing on stage so comfortably made me smile. My son is entering that pre-teen age that seems to be coming all too quickly for my liking, yet, it fills me with pride to see him take the time to play with his little sister and even help teach her to swim.

Bottom line is, I feel pride in my children every day.

What are your proudest moments? let me know in the comments below. If you’re enjoying the series and want to see more, make sure to follow the blog either here on WordPress or Follow my blog with Bloglovin
